Choosing a primary school for your child is a big decision. We understand how important it is to get a feel for the school so that you can make the right decision for your child.
Visits to the school site (pre-booked, adults only) will take place on Thursdays at 3.30pm. This is at the end of the school day so you will have the chance to view the school site and building safely. Please call the school office on 01206 230305 to book an appointment on a small group tour with Mrs Keitch, Headteacher. We will do our best to accommodate you if Thursday afternoons are difficult for you.
We have a standard admission number of 17 for each year group.
Essex County Council is the admission authority for St George's. This means that the council sets the oversubscription criteria and makes the decisions as to which pupils are admitted to our school.
In the event of oversubscription any remaining places will be allocated by Essex County Council using the following criteria in the order given:
In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined
by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest
priority. Exceptional medical circumstance (supported by medical evidence) may override
the above.
